    These are our values, principles and strategic objectives:

    Our Values

    • To be people centred at all times.
    • To support the right of people with PWS to be treated with dignity and respect.
    • To promote the recognition and acceptance of the positive contribution that each and every individual with PWS has to make to society.
    • To enhance the quality of life for those affected by PWS and their families.
    • To constantly aspire to work with integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and clear leadership, in order to underpin the ethical base of our Association.
       

    Our Principles

    • We believe that statutory and voluntary agencies should give appropriate support to enable people with PWS to have healthy, full and productive lives.
    • We believe that any support that a person with PWS, their families and supporters need should be personalised.
    • We aim to work collaboratively with health and social care agencies and other stakeholders to transform the lives of men, women and children with PWS.
    • Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with PWS, their families and carers.
       

    Our strategic objectives

    To grow the Association’s capacity to deliver, across the UK:

    • PWS awareness raising
    • Increased understanding
    • Support service delivery

    So that parents and people with PWS have some-where to turn to for advice and guidance but also have fun, share views and experiences that are transformational.

    • To be efficient, cost effective and excellence driven
    • To be the number one knowledge and information hub for PWS in the UK.
    • To be the voice for those affected by PWS.
    • To lobby and campaign on behalf of our members, for improved rights, resources and recognition.
    • To support and promote research into the management and alleviation of PWS.
    • To support and promote best practice in health, social care, education, residential care, employment and supported living.
