Join us for a fun packed day at Heaton Park, Manchester we will once again be in the park from 12.00 noon until 4.00pm on the field by the side of the Dower House (The Bee House) look out for our gazebos! Bring a picnic, a blanket or a chair and enjoy an afternoon chatting with other parents while the children play games and have fun. 8th International PWS Conference - 18th - 21st July 2013 - hosted by PWSA (UK) Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
A very warm invitation is extended to you to join the PWS community, leading scientists, researchers and practitioners from across the globe at the prestigious Conference offering an opportunity for all involved worldwide in research, working or living with people with PWS to present current research and explore best practice in clinical and day to day management of PWS. We are delighted to be able to offer four individual programmes:-

The Scientific Programme and the Professional Caregivers’ Programme will run concurrently during Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of July at Fitzwilliam College. Each programme is designed to explore and exchange the latest research and the latest techniques in both the management of and care of people with Prader-Willi Syndrome. The programmes will feature world renown leaders in their field and offer opportunities to explore best practice in clinical and day to day management of this rare and complex syndrome.

The Parents’ Programme and the People with PWS and Siblings Programme will run concurrently during Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July at both Fitzwilliam College and the Holiday Inn. The Parents’ Programme will offer three different age groupings, birth – 5years, 6 – 16 years and 16+ to ensure that each delegate has access to sessions most apt for their own child’s age. The sessions will feature international speakers on PWS and offer opportunities to hear the latest research, the latest management techniques and the all important meeting and networking amongst the global PWS family.

A special needs crèche will be at the Holiday Inn during the Parents’ Programme for those birth – 5 years. Places are available on a first come first served basis and for those 6+, the People with PWS and Siblings Programme offers a combination of outings, arts and crafts and party, party, party! Make new friends, learn new things and most of all, have fun.

The conference will be held at the Gehry building on the Novartis Campus in Basel, Switzerland, from 5th to 8th March 2014 – a superb setting for stimulating learning, exchanges and networking.
