Prader-Willi Syndrome Awareness Month

JHorsfall • May 01, 2020

Today (1 May) marks the start of PWS Awareness Month!

Welcome to PWS Awareness Month, which PWSA UK will be marking in a number of ways!

Firstly, we are encouraging our wonderful community to complete our Marathon in May or another challenge of your choice and make it part of the 2.6 Challenge. You can find out more here.

Thank you to all those who have already signed up and are busy preparing for their activities - we've seen some truly fantastic ideas so far! And if you need some help limbering up for your challenges then we will be posting some fitness workouts throughout the month, so keep an eye on our social media channels.

In addition to raising awareness of PWS itself, we will also be throwing the spotlight on the various ways in which we can support those affected by the syndrome throughout the entire PWS journey. We hope you will find the information we share useful and, of course, if you need to find out more or simply talk things through with our support team then we are only a call or a click away!

Of course, in order to remain a call or click away, we need your support and that has never been more important than now. In addition to raising funds, you can also make an online donation here or sign up for membership for as little as £2.50 a month here.

And last but by no means least, PWS Awareness Month is also about YOU, our fantastic community. Please let us know what you're up to, whether you're taking part in the 2.6 Challenge or simply doing something to help raise awareness. We'd love to see your photos and videos (and make sure you're wearing a Go Orange T-shirt if you've got one) so please send them to admin@pwsa.co.uk.

Thank you!
